THE HISTORY OF July 24th, I'm ___________________ .

And I’m___________________ . Today in 1969: a month after a gay rebellion at a New York City tavern called the “Stonewall Inn”, a group of gay men and lesbians announces its intent to carve out a place in the revolutionary movement and meets at "Alternative University," in New York City.

They will adopt the name, "Gay Liberation Front", and advocate militant tactics to confront society's anti-gay repression. Eschewing the pacifist tendencies of previous gay organizations, front members will call themselves, "the first group of gay fighters".
