This evening on WORT’s “Access Hour” the hosts play collaborations of the writings of “James Baldwin”, “Richard Wright”, and “Ralph Ellison” with the music of “John Coltrane”. That’s at 7:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

This afternoon the “Goodman South Madison branch” librarians help participants with updating computer skills or looking for a job. This begins at 1:00 in the “Boys and Girls” Club, 4619 Jenewein Road. Call 266-6395 for details or to reserve a spot.

This afternoon the Pinney Library features short movies exploring different cultures. This is at 2:00 in 204 Cottage Grove Road. Call 224-7100 for details. Popcorn is provided.

Tomorrow Wisconsin faces State Senate recall elections. Poll watchers are needed so that the fair elections can be insured. If listeners are interested in doing this they can log on and send an e-mail to pollwisconsin@gmail.com.

Currently volunteers are needed to staff phone banks, do data entry and do other work in recall campaigns outside of Madison. To volunteer or for details contact John Smallwood at 206-9451 or JohnS@Allianceforabetterwi.org.

Legal Action of Wisconsin Incorporated provides qualified low-income people free legal services. They are open to respond to questions on Tuesdays from 9:00 to noon. Call 256-3258 for details.
