This morning the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees local 171 holds an informational picket to protest the decision to contract out food service work normally performed by Local 171 members. This evening the Madison Infoshop features a showing of the film. Rebels with a Cause. It documents the quote “rise and fall” of the group Students for a Democratic Society. This is in room 1101 of the Humanities Building at 6:30. Call 262-9036 for details.

This evening WORT’s Access Hour Savage class war radio has a couple of the active union stewards that work at the University of Wisconsin Memorial Union. That’s at 7:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

This and next evening the Haven’s Center shows the film, “An Inconvenient Truth.” This is at 7:15 in room 6210 of the Social Science Building, 180 Observatory Drive. Call 262-1420 for details. The films are free and open to the public. This is part of a series.
