Tonight, Fighting Bob Fest kicks of with speakers at the Barrymore Theater. The show features Laura Flanders, Thom Hartmann, Senator Russ Feingold, Professor Daniel Kunene, Jim Hightower, and Greg Palast. There is a ticket charge. Tomorrow, the Mexican & Central American Independence Festival takes place at Warner Park. This features kid's activities, two stages with 20 performances of traditional dance and live music, a cultural exhibition and food vendors. Festival revenue supports scholarships awarded to Latino high school students. This is in Warner Park on Madison's Northeast side from 10 am to 9 pm. Tomorrow evening after Frighting Bob Fest, Doctor Bob Reuschlein hosts four speakers who will talk on progressive issues. The speakersare Bob Reuschlein on "Peace Economics", Buzz Davis on "War Criminals", Kevin Barrett on "War Justification Incidents", and Jo Ann Oravec on "Bullying". An open mike follows the event. This event is free and open to the public and is at Thunderbird Lanes, 1117 8th Street in Baraboo across Hwy 33 from the Fairgrounds & M&I Bank. Sunday morning, Madison Hours hold its monthly Pancake Breakfast. All pancakes are organic and vegan with nuts or fruits. The breakfast also features oven-roasted potatoes, organic fair trade coffee, orange juice, and live music. Madison HOURS promotes local trade through local currency.
