Madison's End Hate Photo Shoot Campaign is being held today from 12-7pm in the Great Hall of Memorial Union. Come find out about LGBT issues facing the community, hear from guest speakers, and show your support for equality and the end to hate by taking your very own picture. Hair and make-up is available along with refreshments.

Today on WORT's “A Public Affair”, host Allen Ruff hosts Steven Salaita, author of "Anti-Arab Racism in the USA: Where It Comes From and What It Means." They'll be discussing the whole issue of the construction of a mosque near "Ground Zero" and the controversy regarding Barack Obama's identity. This is on WORT at noon. Call 256-2001 with questions.

This evening, the 100 Black Men of Madison hold the “Backpack Stuffing Party”. The 100 Black Men of Madison, their significant others, friends and many volunteers will fill the more than 1,500 backpacks with school supplies for both elementary and middle school students in one night. This is at the National Guard Armory, 2402 Bowman St at 5:00 and should finish around 8:00pm or 8:30pm. This evening, the People's Economic Project of the Peregrine Forum hosts a discussion entitled "Thoughts on the Transition to a Sustainable Society". The Freewheel Community Bicycle Workshop is seeking donations for their new South Park location. They are a community bicycle workshop run by volunteers with a range of bicycle skills. They are actively seeking bikes and parts, tools, supplies and monetary donations. They are open Thursdays at 5:30 at 1804 South Park Street, Suite 5. For details call 217-6632.
