Tonight at the Monona Terrace Rooftop, 1 John Nolen Drive, Dane Dances holds its weekly event. The music begins at 5:30 with DJ Lauri followed by VO5 Band, with another set by DJ Lauri, and finishing with Christopher's Project. For more information, call 358-5894 or check danedances.org.

This weekend is the Mega Used Book Sale benefiting Wisconsin Books to Prisoners. Since 2006, Wisconsin Books to Prisoners, a project of Rainbow Bookstore Co-op, has provided thousands of books to inmates in WI prisons, as well as to LGBT prisoners nationwide. Rainbow Bookstore believes that reading is a basic human right and that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and grow through books, including those who are incarcerated. This is at Orton Park at the corner of Few and Rutledge Streets Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 6. Check rainbowbookstore.org for drop off locations.

Tomorrow, Mad City Chickens holds a Coop Tour. The free, self-guided tour seeks to teach the public about backyard chickens. A map of the tour with addresses and descriptions of the host coops and flocks is madcitychickens.com. This is Saturday from 9 to 1.

Sunday is the Annual Black-Latino Unity Picnic. The picnic is a part of a long-term project called Black-Latino Unity, which tries to erase divisions and build bridges between the struggles of the black and Latino communities. This event is free and features food, music, information for the community, and other activities. This begins on Sunday at noon at Penn Park off of Park Street on Dane.
