Tomorrow, REAP Food Group holds its 12th Annual Food for Thought Festival. Highlights include keynote speaker Ann Cooper, the renegade lunch lady, exhibits from 50-plus groups and businesses, kid’s activities, cooking demonstrations, and lots of local food. Tomorrow is the Best Vgean Chili Fest and Silent Auction. This is a benefit fundraiser or Alliance for Animals. The speaker of the event is Anthony Marr, Environmentalist and Animal Rights activist, and founder of Heal our Planet Earth. There is an admission charge. Sunday, the Rape Crisis Center hosts the 15th Annual Java Jive, a coffee tasting to benefit the Center. The event features live jazz from the Jan Wheaton Trio, and a silent auction.
