This evening there is a meeting of the Friends of South Madison Branch Library. On the agenda is raising awareness about the new library and working on grassroots fundraising efforts. This is at 6:30 in room 811 of 2222 South Park Street. Call 266-6395 for details,

Today through June twenty-seventh is WORT’s summer pledge drive. The theme is a summery "SPF 89.9". The station is looking for phone answerers and pledgers. It provides nifty premiums, lots of good food and a warm fuzzy feeling to pledge-takers. For details call 256-2001 and tell ‘em those nice “kiosk folks” sent you.

The Insurgent Radio Kiosk needs a volunteer co-producer, engineers and readers. They take as little as three to five hours weekly. Interested people should call the station at 256-2001 and leave a message of interest for the Kiosk.

Project Home is seeking eligible Dane County homeowners needs volunteers to help low income elderly and differently-abled people whose homes need protection from the elements. Painting day is in mid-August. Call 246-3737 for details.

The Women and Infant Children Nutrition program offers a wide variety of services, food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children less than five years of age healthy and strong. For details call 267-1111.

Evening Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently-abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 276-7598.
