This morning Madison Area Technical College (MATC) librarians will provide attendees advice, tips and templates for making easy and effective resumes and cover letters. They will need to have basic computer skills to attend this workshop. This is at the Sequoya Branch Library meeting room, 4340 Tokay Boulevard at 9:30. Call 266-6385 for details.

This afternoon the main downtown library hosts a workshop for job seekers. They will help participants work on resumes and cover letters, locate Internet Job sites, and apply for jobs online. This is at 1:00 in 201 West Mifflin Street at the front lecture room number 202. Call 266-6350 for details or reserve a spot. Drop-ins are welcome.

Mornings adults sixty or older may get lunch. This is at 11:30 on weekdays in venues throughout Madison. A donation is requested. Call 251-8405 by noon the day before for details or to reserve a meal.

This evening the North and Eastside Coalitions for Older Adults hosts the next in their ongoing series of music segments. It is the “North Country Drifters playing waltzes and polkas. This evening the Madison Infoshop holds a meeting of the “Muffin Club” women’s health discussion group. The discussion topic is “masturbation.” The group is women, trans, and intersex only space. It is at 1019 Williamson Street at 7:00. Call 262-9036 for details.

Tomorrow at noon on WORT’s A Public Affair host Stacy Harbaugh speaks with Kevin Revolinski, author of “Backroads and Byways of Wisconsin” on local travel writing. Call 256-2001 for details.

Ongoing daily Olbrich Gardens hosts the “Blooming Butterflies”. Participants may stroll through the tropical rainforest and watch butterflies emerge from chrysalises daily in the “Bolz Conservatory”. This is from 10:00 to 4:00 in 3330 Atwood Avenue. Call 246-4550 for details.
