The Willy Street Park Society, an all-volunteer group, is offering a tour of 12 gardens in the Williamson-Marquette neighborhood on Sunday from 1-4. Tickets will be available on the day of the event at the Willy Street Park at the corner of Brearly and Williamson Street. For details contact 242-0712.

Tonight at sundown, the Madison Infoshop (1019 Williamson Street) will offer a free outdoor screening of the City of God, a powerful story of two Brazilian boys growing up in the favelas of Rio de Janeir. Bringing snacks or non-alcoholic beverages to share, plus a blanket, chair or pillow is suggested. For details contact 262-9036.

Saturday the Wisconsin Tibet Association will sponsor a "Walk for Tibet" event. Participants will gather at Brittingham Park (opposite Midway Asian Food store) at 1:00pm and start the walk to the State Capitol. "Walk for Tibet" will be organized once every month until March 2010. For details contact wistib.org.

Sunday the Ed Schultz Show 2009 Tour for Change will be at the Barrymore Theatre, 2090 Atwood Avenue. Free tickets are available by calling the union-sponsored “Alliance for American Manufacturing” at 866-365-2203. Workers who've been laid off or have stories about the health care crisis are especially urged to attend. The show will be broadcast live from the Barrymore Theatre from 7 to 9 pm. Plan to arrive by 6 pm.

Sunday at 10 am, the Prairie Unitarian Universalist Society (2010 Whenona Drive) will host a presentation titled “When Breathing is Defiance : Stories from Occupied Palestine”. The presenters are Nathan Beck and Sol Thea Kelley-Jones, human rights activists who both worked on the ground in the Occupied Palestinian Territories of the West Bank. Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, a Benefit for Vietnam Relief will be held at 2237 Fox Ave. The event will include a slide presentation and discussion of current peace and justice projects in Vietnam with Mike Boehm. For details contact 256-5088 or by emailing bblock@charter.net.
