Wednesday evening the Peregrine Forum holds the next in their “Fine Forgotten Authors Series.” It is a preface to Daniel Defoe's historical-satirical novel, “Memoirs of a Cavalier” during the seventeenth century’s Thirty Years War and the English Civil War This is at 7:00 in Avol's Bookstore, 315 West Gorham Street. On Tuesday and Friday afternoons there is a food pantry at the Catholic Multicultural Center, 1862 Beld Street. Clients choose anything shelved based on food availability. This is between 2:30 and 4:30. They ask clients to register before 1:00 the day before. Call 255-1287 for details.

Weekdays the Blue Bus Clinic offers free Hepatitis A and B vaccinations. It is at 333 East Campus Mall, on the UW campus. Contact 265-5600 for details, eligibility requirements and hours.

The Home Chore Volunteer Program, is seeking volunteers to help older people by doing household chores, such as, yard work that may be difficult for them making living at home impossible. Call 223-3100 for more information or, to volunteer.
