The Wisconsin Tibetan Association is organizing a series of "Walk-For-Tibet" events to be held monthly, starting this Saturday. The walk will begin at 1 pm from Brittingham Park to the Capitol Square and is aimed at garnering support and sympathy for the continuing suffering and difficulties that are still happening in Tibet under the harsh and forceful hands of the Chinese Communist Government that still rule in Tibet. The UW Educational & Psychological Training Clinic (Rm 316, Educational Science Bldg, 1025 W. Johnson St.) in co-operation with OutReach, is making counseling services available on a sliding scale to the LGBTQ communities. The services are provided by counseling psychology graduate students and are supervised by licensed psychologists/counselors. They provide services to individuals, couples, and families with a variety of pressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and general life adjustment problems. Bi-lingual counselors and interpreters for Spanish are also available. Clinic hours are 5-8pm Mondays and Wednesdays. For appointments and an initial screening please call 265-6120.

Care Wisconsin offers many programs and services designed to help older adults. They offer coordinated health care and long-term support services for Medicaid-eligible older adults. These may have chronic conditions requiring nursing home level of care, adult day centers and home care services. Call 240-0020 for details.

Today through June 26, Rooftop Cinema returns for its fourth season in the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art’s rooftop sculpture garden at 227 State Street in Madison. Saturday the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation will resume its informative and entertaining walking tours through Madison's most distinctive historic neighborhoods. The State Street tour will begin at 10 am at the House of Wisconsin Cheese, 107 State Street. The King Street tour will meet at 11 by the granite arch at the corner of Webster, Doty, and King Streets. No reservations are required, simply show up at each tour’s designated starting point. Low cost spayings and neuterings for dogs and cats are available through the Dane County Humane Society. There are various times and prices and they include an FVRCP vaccine. Caretakers of feral or free-roaming cats can be helped as well. Call 838-0413 extension 103 for an appointment or details.
