Smart Recovery is a science-based and secular program to assist individuals in recovering from an addiction. Meetings are held weekly on Wednesday evenings at the Wil-Mar center, 953 Jenifer Street. Today through Sunday, the Mercury Players Theatre will present " The Well"- A Comedy by Lisa Kron about health, illness, race relations and her mother. A playwright's surprisingly funny look back at life with her mother, who appears on stage whether she likes it or not. Are you a same sex parent or planning to become one? Have you been wanting to meet other families like your own family? The Outreach center hosts a monthly same sex family group which meets the third Thursday of the month. Children are welcome to come with parents but are not necessary for attendance. Friday through Sunday, the Portage Center for the Arts, 301 E. Cook Street in Portage, invites all community veterans and their families to attend the play “Our Tomorrow”, a heart-warming love story of World War II.
