Friday evening there is the premiere of the new play entitled, "My Name is Rachel Corrie". It concerns how the International Solidarity Movement volunteer was trying to stop the destruction of a Gaza strip Palestinian home and was crushed to death by an Israeli Army bulldozer. Saturday the Alliance for Animals Primate Freedom project holds a commemoration the mark the anniversary of the Vilas Zoo monkey scandal and mourn the victims of Uhiversity of Wisconsin abuse. This is at the Vilas Zoo Giraffe Gate number nine at 11:00 in the morning. Call 222-2348 for detail

Saturday evening there is a socialist potluck and meeting. This in the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer Street at 5:30. Call 241-2829 for detaila. Participants are asked to bring a dish or drink to pass.

Saturday evening the Peregrine Forum marks International Women's day with a screening of the Cuban film, "Lucia." This is in the Stendahl Parlor, 404 South Park Street at 7:00. Call 443-8399 for details.

Saturday evening Proud Theater, Madison's own LGBTQ youth theater troupe, presents "At the End of the Rainbow 2." It is an open mic benefit for "Proud Theater". This is in the Escapr Java Joint, 916 Williamson Street at 7:00. Call 469-6685 for details.

Saturday evening QLaw, a student group which serves the LGBT community at the University of Wisconsin Law School and beyond holds their Third Annual Gala Reception and Fundraiser. It will raise funds to support programming and legal education efforts in LGBT issues at the UW Law School. This is at 7:00 in the University Club, 803 State Street. Call 729-5895 for details.
