Saturday, Cafe Montmartre will host Madison Mutts May Melee, a benefit for Madison Mutts all-breed dog rescue. The event will take place from 12:30-5:30pm and will feature music, original comedy and caburlesque as well as adoptable mutts! Tonight at 7:30 pm, the UW-Madison Pyle Center (702 Langdon St.) will host Hope and Fear - scenes from the conflict in rural Colombia – a joint presentation by Garry Leach and Steve Cagan. Garry Leach is the author of several books on Colombia. Steve Cagan is a well-known scholar and photographer. More info at colombiasupport.net

Saturday at 1 PM the Madison Area Vegetarian Meetup Group will host a Vegetarian Potluck Picnic at Burrows Park, 25 Burrows Rd. More info at meetup.com/VegMadison

Saturday evening at Fair Trade Coffeehouse, 418 State Street, Steve Cagan will present a slide show presentation titled El Chocó: Struggle for Cultural and Environmental Survival: An Everyday Resistance. Cagan is a well-known scholar and photographer who spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar in the region of Choco, Colombia, taking pictures. The show is slated for 7:30. OutThere, a program of OutReach, the LGBT Community Center of Madison, is proud to present its 2nd Annual Reception and Party for graduating High School Seniors. The event is scheduled for Sunday evening from 5 to 10 at OUT Restaurant and Nightclub, 1262 John Q Hammons Drive in Madison WI 53717.
