Thursday through Sunday, the Madison Infoshop will sponsor the Madison and Milwaukee Trading Post Bike Ride and Solstice Celebration! Madison folks will be meeting at 9 AM on Friday at the State Capitol and East Washington Avenue for a community bike ride to Sandhill Station State Campground. Bring goods, food, art, plants, or anything you'd like to trade with people from Madison and Milwaukee. There will also be a second bike contingent leaving late Friday or Saturday morning. OutReach of Madison and South Central Wisconsin’s LGBT Community Center, is seeking nominations of individuals, organizations and businesses whose work make a substantial contribution to improving equality and quality of life for LGBT people in South Central Wisconsin this past year. Awards will be presented at OutReach’s seventeenth Annual Community Awards Banquet, to be held Friday, July 17th, at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. With “Wings and a Halo--R.E.A.C.H. a Child” is in need of volunteers for the Mascot and Celebrity Charity Hug that will take place at Rhythm and Booms at Warner Park on Saturday, June twenty-seventh. Volunteers are needed for two hour shifts between 4 - 8 p.m. that evening. The rain date is Sunday, June 28th. Please contact Julie Cruz at 445.9903 for more information.
