Tonight, the Madison Center for Creative and Cultural Arts holds a screening of the award winning film “Voces Inocentes” about a young boy in wartime El Salvador who must choose between enlisting in the U.S.-backed military or joining the guerrillas. Tonight, there is a talk with Professor Toyin Falola of the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin on “US-African Relations: Beyond Media Stereotypes and Images”. This is in the Red Gym, 716 Langdon Street, at 7. Call 262-2380 for details.

Tomorrow afternoon, there is a counter protest of the Neo-Nazi rally in Madison. The purpose of the counter protest is to build a large, peaceful demonstration to counter the Nazi's message of hate and violence with participant's numbers, voices, and diversity. Sunday, the Northside Farmers Market presents a festival entitled “Tailgating for Northside Youth”. North/Eastside Youth Basketball will sell hot dogs and brats and the Pamana Dance Troup will sell plantain lumpia. Also, the Troup and Joshua Hayes & Diversity Performance Group will perform. This is at the Northside Farmers Market at the Northside Town Center at the corner of Sherman and Northport from 10 to 12:30.
