The Brazen Dropouts Bicycle Club invite the community to their 21st Annual Bike Swap on Saturday at the Alliant Energy Center. Doors open at 9AM. The SWAP is a legendary annual event for cyclists of all stripes to buy, sell and recycle new and used parts, clothing, complete bikes, wheels, and just about any other bike-related items you can think of. This Saturday, the Tao Sangha is having a FREE Workshop Day, with Nembutsu Chanting, Heart of Communication, and Ki Shin Do, the Way of Ki & Heart classes. "How Socialists Fought for Free Speech, Jobs, and Civil Rights: Two Episodes from American History" will be discussed at the Socialist Educational Forum, this Saturday, at 4:30pm, at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer St, in the Mendota Room (use Brearly St entrance), free. Martin Luther King Youth Recognition Breakfast! is this Sunday from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at Edgewood High School. Join the Urban League for one of the largest observances of the King Holiday in Wisconsin. Nearly 170 middle and high school students are presented with the Outstanding Young Person Award and the MLK College Scholarships. Students are nominated by schools from all across Dane County based on their academic performance, community service, and extra-curricular participation. Tickets are for a small fee and are available online at ulgm.org/mlkevent.

A MLK Ecumenical Church Service will be held at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 2019 Fisher Street this Sunday at 4pm. Another event sponsored by the King Coalition. Call Ruth at 233-5880 for details.
