Today from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm and tomorrow all day, there is a Furniture Sale for the Madison Public Library! This event is part of an effort to reuse or recycle 75%+ of the material that is slated to leave during deconstruction. Volunteers are welcome. Call the library at 280-0800 for more information.

Join SERRV for a celebration of the vibrancy and strength of the Comite Artisinal Haitien, two years after the earthquake that devastated Haiti, and enjoy some of the unique fair trade craft items. Tonight at 7pm, the First Unitarian Society presents “At the River I Stand”, the acclaimed documentary about the 1968 Memphis sanitation workers’ strike and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s role in the march.
