The Bicycle Federation presents “Moving Bicycling Forward in Madison” with Mayor Soglin joining us to share his vision bicycling in Madison, innovative bicycling infrastructure and ways you can get involved. After the presentation, Bike Fed invites you to join us for a FREE pizza social at the Brink Lounge. This event is at 6pm at the US Bank Plaza, 1 S. The League of Women Voters is presenting a talk by Supreme Court Justice Patience Drake Roggensack. She will speak to "The Many Factors of Judicial Independence." With a question and answer period to follow. The talk starts at 7 pm. in The Capitol Lakes Great Hall, 333 West Main Street. Free parking is available in the ramp across the street. Heartland Farm Sanctuary is having a volunteer orientation at 7pm. Heartland Farm Sanctuary is dedicated to helping homeless farm animals in Wisconsin, and building connections between animals and vulnerable youth. One-on-one Job and Computer Assistance is available at the Pinney Branch Library starting at 4pm. Call 224-7100 in advance to hold a spot and drop-ins are welcome. Pinney Library is locate at 204 Cottage Grove Road.

There will be a daytime book discussion of Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario who, as a young man, rides the tops of trains through Mexico to the U.S. to reunite with his mother. This is at the Lakeview Branch Thursday at 12:00 noon. The Lakeview branch is at 2845 Sherman Ave. Call 246-4547 for more information.
