Tonight the film Cultures of Resistance will have its Madison premier at the Madison World Music Festival. It is a feature-length documentary that celebrates the role of music, art and creativity in the battle for peace and justice on a world-wide scale. This is at 7 pm in the Marquee Theater at Union South and free and open to the public. Union South is located at 1308 W. Dayton St. For more information call 262-2787. The film will be shown again tomorrow night at the Memorial Union.

JoAnn Kloppenburg will be a speaker the Basics food co-op in Janesville tonight at 6pm. She will highlight many of the challenges we face in improving Wisconsin’s elections. This is sponsored by the Rock County Progressives and will take place at the Basics Food Cooperative, 1711 Lodge Dr in Janesville. Contact Chuck Ogg 322-2889 for more information.

Outreach is presenting Q Cinema. The film from Peru is titled “Undertow” is about Miguel, who is a respected member of the community, but is secretly in love with another man, the rebellious artist Santiago.
