5R Processors, Ltd. & James Madison Memorial High School as part of their commitment to providing an environmentally sound solution to the proper disposal of electronic waste, will be teaming up with 5R Processors, Ltd. to help the community dispose of unwanted personal electronic equipment. This event is open to the public, residents and businesses and is located in the parking lot of Memorial High School, 201 S. Gammon Road, Madison from 9:00am and 2:00pm. Also on Saturday, Fitchburg Fields is hosting a chicken workshop, titled "Chickens in Your Backyard" taught by Patty Peltekos. You will how to care for your chickens and what you'll need and ensure them a safe home. Also covered are local zoning requirements, and local resources for the chicken owner. The Workers' Rights Center will be holding a training on Saturday Basic Workplace Rights Training in Spanish. This will be from 10am-Noon at the Villager Mall, 2300 S. Park St. Call 255-0376 to RSVP. Childcare available upon request.

The Grassroots Leadership College is hosting “Our State is in a State! How Do We Move Forward Together?” The forum is an opportunity for people to learn together and explore possible next steps in a political movement that began back in February. CityCamp is an unconference focused on making our community more transparent and user friendly. Programmers, designers, citizens, activists, and journalists will gather on Saturday to offer perspectives and engage in the development of tools intended to make our communities more open, vibrant, and empowering. CityCamp runs from 10am to 6pm in 1 South Pinkney, the US Bank building. Everyone is encouraged to attend, present, and engage and is a free event, although registration is requested. Social Justice Film Festival presents documentaries and family films on social justice topics. Friday night’s 6 pm showings feature ''Green Fire,'' the Aldo Leopold biography, and ''Wall-E.''
