This evening the “Madison Urban Ministry” hosts a panel discussion about an historic December, 2010 Georgia prison riot. This evening the “Hawthorne branch” of the Madison Public Library has a discussion of “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” by “Lisa See.” It details how an eighty year old matriarch of the Chinese village, “Tongkuo” writes a memoir of life in the nineteenth century. “Evening Meals on Wheels” needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 276-7598.
 
Low cost spayings and neuterings for dogs and cats are available through the Dane County Humane Society and Maddie’s Fund. There are various times and prices and they include an FVRCP vaccine.
