This evening and tomorrow evening, Prairie Fire Bio Fuels Cooperative host lectures on running diesel engines on vegetable oil with Alexander Noack, a BioFuels Engineer for Elsbett in Germany. All day today, tomorrow and Sunday, the Cooperative also hosts an open house demonstrating the technology. The event is free to members, but a small charge applies to the public. Sunday, Melanie Herzog, Art Historian at Edgewood College, speaks on her latest book, Milton Rogovin: The Making of a Social Documentary Photographer. In her book, she chronicles the story of the man behind the photographs that show the tenacity, profound dignity, and resilience of people living in extremely difficult circumstances. Sunday, the Peregrine Forum hosts the film “Until When?”. The film follows lives of four Palestinian families living in Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem.
