Tonight at 5:00 pm at the UW SLIS Commons, on the 4th floor of Helen C. White Hall there will be a screening of the film ‘The Aggressives’. This film explores the lives of six NYC women who assume the category of ‘aggressives’ through masculine roles. Co-hosted by the LGBTQ and Ally Library Services Student Group. Madison Children’s Museum invites adults only to a red-carpet party for the next Adult Swim fundraiser tonight from 6-10 p.m. The theme for this edition is “Lights, Camera, Interaction! A Wisconsin Film Festival Party” as we get ready for the upcoming film event held in Madison. Guests are encouraged to glam up like it’s the Oscars. Two free public information sessions will be held for the ‘Cycles of Revolution: Brake the Banks! Bike Ride’ to the Chicago NATO protest. ‘Occupy Spring & Beyond – Where Do the 99% Go From Here? Teach-in & Conference!’ will be this Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm at the Memorial Union. Topics will include: Understanding & Educating About the Economy; Anti-Foreclosure Organizing and Actions; Organizing Against Student Debt; The Occupy Movement and the Homeless; Non-Violent Civil Disobedience; Direct Action in the Workplace; May 2012 Anti-NATO Actions in Chicago; and Anti-Mining, Environmental Justice and Eco-Socialism.
