This morning the “Goodman South Madison branch” librarians help participants with updating computer skills or looking for a job. This begins at 10:00 in 2222 South Park Street. Call 266-6395 for details.

Every weekday at noon the “Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice” hosts a “Solidarity Sing-a-long” at the Wisconsin State Capitol building. Song books will be provided. Call 250-9240 for details.

This evening Madison Public Library’s Meadowridge Branch invites school age kids to bring a favorite book to read aloud to a dog friend. This is at 4:00 in 5740 Raymond Road. Call 288-6160 for details.

“Planned Parenthood” has a wide range of reproductive and sexual health services to keep people healthy, safe and strong. These include birth control, family planning, annual wellness exams and abortion care. There are branches throughout Wisconsin. Call 1-800-230-PLAN for details.

Briarpatch seeks volunteers to work with teens in crises, either by answering the crises line, providing emergency shelter, or acting as family counselors. Some positions may require training. Call 251-6211 for more information or to volunteer.

“Community Literacy” is a “Literacy Network English as a Second Language” program designed to tutor adult learners one-on-one in a classroom setting where childcare and additional tutor support are available.
