Tuesday evening the Dane County Environmental Council hosts the next in the “Green Tuesdays Films and Lectures on Sustainability”. This one is entitled, “Focus on Energy and Home Energy Audits.” Presenter Amy Lord helps people make better informed decisions about energy efficiency and renewability. Tuesday evening the Wisconsin Historical Society presents cartoonist Lynda Barry speaking on "Creative Ways to Recall and Preserve Our Memories." This is at 7:00 in the Wisconsin Historical Society, 816 State Street. Call 264-6400 for details.

The Parental Stress line helps prevent child abuse by connecting parents who are stressed or feeling alone with volunteers who talk with them by phone. Training is necessary. Call 241-4888 extension 26 for details.

The Rape Crises Center is a non-profit community organization. They aid people who need support and information after experiencing or being close to someone sexual assaulted in the past or recently. This includes survivors of rape or incest. For services and twenty- four hour crises intervention call 251-7273. To volunteer people may call 251-5126.
