Today at noon on WORT’s A Public Affair host Allen Ruff will speak with author and journalist Bob McChesney. Call 256-2001 for details.

Monday evening there is a discussion entitled, “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Fair Trade Chocolate!” This is just in time for Valentine's Day. It is at the Two Degrees Coffeeshop, 307 West Johnson Street at 6:00. It will include a slideshow and free samples. Call 257-7888 for details.

Monday evening there is a showing of the film, “Amandla: A Revolution In Four Part Harmony”. It is about “black South African freedom music” and looks at the part music had in the fight against apartheid. This is in the Neighborhood House, 29 Mills Street at 6:30. Call 467-7947 for details.

Monday evening on WORT’s Access Hour Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Wisconsin present a program highlighting the rich history and strong connection between the University of Wisconsin Madison, the people of Dane County and the Peace Corps. That’s at 7:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

Tuesday morning the East Side History Club which collects memories through conversations with East Siders, meets to reminisce about high-jinks on the East Side’s Yahara River and Lake Monona. This is at 9:00 at the Saint Bernard’s Parish Hall, Room 7, 2450 Atwood Avenue. Call 241-0895 for details.

The North and Eastside Senior Center offers lunches and activities such as, Bingo and exercise classes in the Bashford Methodist Church, 329 North Street at 11:30 daily. Attendees are asked to register by 11:30 on the day before the event and get details by calling 241-3011. Transportation is available.
