Wednesday afternoon there are open art classes for kids ages four and up. This is at 3:00 in the Williamson Street Art Center, 1020 Williamson Street. Call 256-8878 for details. These occur regularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Wednesday afternoon there is a computer lab. It is at the Catholic Multicultural Center, 1862 Beld Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 to 4:00. Call 255-1287 for details. This is followed by a free community meal at 4:00.

Wenesday evening the Madison Area Socialist Alliance hosts an on-going study circle called "Meddling in the Middle East". It quote "examines the history and politics of imperialism and resistance in the Middle East". This is in Rainbow Bookstore on Gilman Street at 7:00. Call 237-1337 for details.

Networks is an AIDS Network affiliate it is an HIV prevention service that is an authorized, confidential syringe exchange program serving Dane and Rock Counties. They can provide shooting and safer sex supplies and information on HIV, STD’s, overdose prevention, detox and treatment facilities. For details call 516-2155.

The South Madison Health and Family Center, Harambee offers information about many services provided by a diverse number of groups including the Madison Community Health Center, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, the Family Enhancement Early Childhood Center and the Dane County Parent Council. They are at 2202 South Park Street. Call 261-9138 for details.

Wisconsin’s Home Energy Assistance Program helps people pay for home energy costs including crisis assistance and weatherization. They are at 1225 South Park Street. They can be contacted via the web site heat.wi.gov or by phone at 267-3680.
