Monday at noon everyone is welcome at a peace vigil. This is "bring a friend day". It is in front of the post office at the corner of Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. For details call 277-8466. Participants are encouraged to bring peace signs and banners for this on-going event.

Monday evening there is a Healthy Families Healthy City public forum to discuss paid sick leave for Madison employees. This concerns a proposed ordinance to mandate that Madison employers provide paid sick leave. This is at 7:00 in the office of the Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice, 2234 A South Park Street in the Villager Mall. Call 255-0376 for details.

Tina Campbell, Madison resident and mother of a three year old was involved in the Justice for Janitors campaign. Recently her life was taken. The Marcus Fudge Benefit fund was set up to help her son in the future. "Through a Painter’s Eye: Twenty Views of Taliesin" is the current art exhibit at The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitors Center. Madison Graduate Artist L. Genevieve Davis, M.F.A of Milwaukee created these paintings of Taliesin. This is at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor’s Center in Spring Green, Wisconsin from now through October. The Community Action Coalition Food Co-op helps people to extend their food budget. For a small advanced fee participants receive fresh food worth at least twice as much money. There are various pick-up dates and places throughout Madison. Call Ken at 246-4730, extension 205 for more information.
