Tonight at 6:30 pm is an informational meeting of the “Cycles of Revolution: Brake the Banks! Ride to NATO/G8 protests in Chicago!”  This is in room 1221 of the Humanities building on the UW-Madison campus, 455 North Park Street. For more information go to grassroutescaravan.org

Listen to Bettina Luescher's inspiring story, “Holy Cow! From the UW to CNN to the UN” about becoming the chief spokesperson in North America for the UN World Food Programme. This is today at 4:30p.m. in the Tripp Commons in the Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St.

Then at 7:00 pm, Bettina Luescher will present “ Quakes, Wars, and Celebs; a talk with, World Food Programme Chief Spokesperson for North America”. This is also in the Tripp Commons of the Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St. 

The lecture, "Bookmark Masala: Food blogs and the gendered configurations of south Asian culinary publics" will be at 4:00 pm. In room 1280 of Grainger Hall on the UW Madison campus, 975 University Avenue. Call 265-4503 for more information.

Evening Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 276-7598.
