A two hour meditation workshop is presented at Unity of Madison titled, "Beyond Meditation".  Techniques will be shown to improve awareness in daily life. This is from 1 - 3pm this Saturday at Unity of Madison, 601 Tompkins Road.  There is a small fee.  For registration, contact Rafe at 222-8457.

East Side Club will be having their 22nd annual CHILI COOK OFF Sat., Feb 25th. Doors open at 10 am, judging at 1, and VINYL THUNDER BAND starts at 2. This is an annual scholarship fundraiser, with free admission and all ages are welcome. Call 222-9131 for details.

Joanne Griffith will be having a conversation on her new book: "Redefining Black Power: Reflections on the State of Black America" published by City Lights Books this Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer Street. Joanne Griffith will be introduced by WORT volunteer Jim Carrier, author of "Traveler's Guide to the Civil Rights Movement." Free and open to the public.  Rainbow Bookstore Cooperative will be on
