There will be a presentation at 4:30pm on cooperatives in Columbia.  This will be held in the Parsons-Penn room on the first floor of Taylor Hall, 427 Lorch Street. Parking may be available at Lot 20 next to Taylor Hal, for a fee, but  is free after 4:30. Questions can be directed to Anne Reynolds at 263-4775.


Come to our free showing of the film, "The Greenhorns: New Farmers in America". This new farmer-produced film examines the experiences of many new farmers: their problems, their satisfactions, and their successes. This is at 7pm at the Fitchburg Public Library, 5530 Lacy Rd. Also tonight at 7:00 pm, the 99% Film & Discussion Forum will screen examples of and discuss contemporary Orwellian Doublespeak in the American mainstream media.  This is at the Wilmar Center, 953 Jenifer St. For more information, call 442-8399.

There are now more than a dozen transactions a Department of Motor Vehicle customer can do online including renewing ID cards. DMV would like to remind people that Wisconsin ID cards that are needed for voting purposes are free. To renew your license or to obtain an ID, go to dot.wi.gov.
