Today at noon there is a vigil for peace in an anniversary-day-of-remembrance of all war dead and of all nonviolent witnesses for peace and active resistance to war. Today at noon on WORT’s “A Public Affair” hosts Alfonso Zepeda-Capistran and Donna Vuchelich speak with Jorge Mújica, one of the principal leaders of the immigrant struggle in Chicago and organizer of its 2006 immigrant rights march. This evening on WORT’s “Access Hour” the host will talk about a small Mixe community band and its history in Oaxaca, Mexico. She will also discuss how a music program provides opportunities for students to continue their musical education thanks to work done by Mexico City and Madison professors. That’s at 7:00.
