The Literacy Network, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing basic literacy services to adults and families in Dane County. Registration has begun for volunteer workshops to be held on September 8 at 1118 South Park Street in Madison. Radio Active, a Madison area, all-volunteer, community theater group which recreates old-time radio shows is holding auditions for a performance on October 17. During the show, actors read from scripts at microphones, while live sound effects, music, and vintage commercials add to the fun and authenticity of the production.
