Monday afternoon there is a computer lab. It is at the Catholic Multicultural Center, 1862 Beld Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 to 4:00. Call 255-1287 for details. This is followed by a free community meal at 4:00.

The Homeshare Program at Independent Living Incorporated matches older adults with working people or students who are in need of low cost housing are able to provide some assistance around the house. Call 274-6900 and ask for Homeshare for details.

Tina Campbell was actively involved in the Justice for Janitors campaign. She was also the mother of three year old Marcus. Recently her life was taken. The Marcus Fudge Benefit fund was set up to help her son in the future. "Through a Painter’s Eye: Twenty Views of Taliesin" is the current art exhibit at The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitors Center. Madison Graduate Artist L. Genevieve Davis, M.F.A of Milwaukee created these paintings of Taliesin. This is at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor’s Center in Spring Green, Wisconsin, from now through October. From now until August sixteenth Olbrich Botanical Gardens features live butterflies during its "Blooming Butterflies" exhibit in the conservatory and "Kid’s butterfly passport" walk. This is at 3330 Atwood Avenue everyday starting at 10:00. Call 256-4550 for details.

WORT is looking for help in recording and reading for The Insurgent Radio Kiosk. This would require a minimum of one hour per week. It is a wonderful opportunity to help your local community radio station and get some real-life experience in radio. Tuesday, August second, 2005

Tuesday afternoon there are open art classes for kids ages four and up. This is at 3:00 in the Williamson Street Art Center, 1020 Williamson Street. Call 256-8878 for details. These occur regularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Tuesday evening is the South Madison National Night Out and kickoff of the New Day in the Bram’s Edition Neighborhood Campaign. It starts with catered dinner and speakers such as Reverend David Smith. It ends with a candlelight neighborhood walk featuring accompanied by the ‘Handphibians". It is the Catholic Multicultural Center, 1862 Beld Street at 6:00. Call 657-6453 for details.


Wednesday at noon on WORT’s A Public Affair host Esty Dinur speaks with Jonathan Beers of Madison Gas and Electric about energy conservation and life with less energy. Call 256-2001 for details.
