Students from the UW School of Medicine & Public Health will host an evening of delicious food and unique entertainment to benefit the communities impacted by the 1984 Bhopal gas disaster. The event, Slow Food for Bhopal, will be held on tonight, at The Crossing, 1127 University Ave. Held from 6:30 to 8 PM, it will feature locally sourced Indian cuisine and a performance by UW School of Bhangra. The Insurgent Radio Kiosk is seeking readers for our new Monday night recording session. The recording session starts at on Mondays at 5:15pm and will last 15 to 30 minutes. Each volunteer is asked to make a commitment to come into the station twice monthly. Join the team to help WORT inform our community of current activities around Madison! The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call 244-5730 for details.
