This afternoon to speak out against the continued imprisonment of detainees at the United States facilities in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba the group “Madison Pledge of Resistance and others will meet at the “First United Methodist Church” to participate in a candlelight vigil and procession around the Capitol. The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call 244-5730 for details.
