Today at noon on WORT’s “A Public Affair” host Norm Stockwell speaks with Mark Warren, author of, “Fire in the Heart: How White Activists Embrace Racial Justice.” Call 256-2001 for details.

This evening the “Wisconsin branch of the American Federation of Labor, Congress of Industrial Organizations” (AFL, CIO) presents a workshop entitled “Worker Unity in Many Tongues.” It will explore the quote “sensitivities and approaches to increasing communication, cultural awareness, and trust in the workplace.” The event starts with a light meal at 5:00 in 1602 South Park Street. “Lifepoint” needle exchange program is associated with the “AIDS Resource Center in Wisconsin.” It prevents the spread of HIV by trading used needles for clean ones. They are anonymous, free and mobile. They offer HIV and Hepatitis C testing. In Madison participants may call 332-6169 for details.
