Tuesday the "Bring the Guard Home!" campaign is arranging meetings with state legislators as part of their first lobby day in support bill 203 which would require the Governor to review any Federal order for the deployment of our National Guard overseas to ensure that the order was lawful. Wisconsin Books to Prisoners (WBTP) is a non-profit organization sponsored by Rainbow bookstore that sends books to prisoners in Wisconsin and other states. They believe that quote “books are tools for learning and can open minds to new ideas and fresh possibilities.” They accept donations of money or books. The Women and Infant Children (WIC) Nutrition program offers a wide variety of services, food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children under five years of age healthy and strong. For details call 267-1111.

Care Wisconsin offers many programs and services designed to help older adults. They offer coordinated health care and long-term support services for Medicaid-eligible older adults. These may have chronic conditions requiring nursing home level of care, adult day centers and home care services. Call 240-0020 for details.
