Alliance for Animals presents "Banning Circus Elephants in Dane County - what the public needs to know". Tonight from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Pinney Branch Public Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road. The general public is invited to attend an informative presentation about the use of elephants in circuses and why it is time for Dane county to ban elephant acts. The Workers' Rights Center will hold a training for restaurant workers about employment rights ranging from wage theft to tip pooling to unsafe working conditions. Unpaid wages? Screening of the movie 'Impunity: A Colombian Story' will be the Union South tonight at 6PM. This is the opening testimony of “Impunity”, a 2010 documentary directed by Colombians Juan José Lozano and Hollman Morris, which presents the untold stories of hundreds of Colombians looking for their loved ones. The City of Madison is proposing to reconstruct E. Johnson Street from N. Butler Street to N. Baldwin Street in 2014. In advance of the construction, the City is conducting a traffic study to consider the implications of converting Johnson and Gorham to two-way streets along the corridor.
